CIMC Firmware Version 4.3(5.250030 M6 Update Patch for Secure Network Analytics v7.5.1
This document provides a description of the CIMC 4.3(5.250030) Firmware M6 Common Update Patch for Secure Network Analytics along with instructions for installing the patch.
This firmware update can be performed using either the SWU file/mokhoa kapa ISO file/ mokhoa o hlalositsoeng ka tlase:

● Alternatively, you can also use the ISO file, patch-common-SNA-FIRMWARE 20250403-M6-REL.iso, to update the CIMC firmware to version 4.3(5.250030) for UCS C-Series M6 hardware with Secure Network Analytics v7.5.1.

If you have firewall rules enabled for Cisco Integrated Management Controller (CIMC), specify 169.254.254.2 in the list of allowed hosts to ensure the update is successful. Otherwise you can skip this step and go to Ho kenya Ho sebelisa vKVM-Mapped vDVD or Ho kenya ho Sebelisa CIMC-Mapped vDVD, depending on your preferred installation method.
1. Log in to the unit’s Cisco Integrated Management Controller (CIMC) interface using a web sebatli.

To install the firmware patch from an ISO image, use the vKVM console of an M6 machine.

5. From the vKVM console, select Virtual Media > vKVM-Mapped vDVD from the menu on the left side of the window to open the Map Virtual Media – CD/DVD dialog.

7. From the vKVM console, click Virtual Media from the menu on the left side of the window to verify that the ISO is mapped.

The firmware update initiates. The CIMC may reboot during the update process, causing a temporary loss of connection. If this occurs, log in to the CIMC again and re-launch the vKVM Console to continue monitoring the update. Once the firmware update is complete, the ISO will be ejected or unmounted, and the SNA appliance will reboot.
11. Verify on the CIMC Chassis Summary page that the firmware has been updated.

5. Ka har'a Map Virtual Media – CD/DVD dialog box, complete the following steps:
a. Lenaneong la Lebitso field, enter a descriptive name (for example, Firmware_ 2025).
b. Lenaneong la File Sebaka field, enter the path to the ISO file.
c. If required, enter the Username le Password.
d. Tlanya Map Drive.
6. From the vKVM console, click Virtual Media to verify that the mapping is in effect.
7. From the vKVM console, select Macros > Static Macros > Ctrl-Alt-Del to initiate the reboot process.
8. Tobetsa konopo ea F6 key on your keyboard when the Cisco logo and boot messages appear in the vKVM console.
9. Ha the Please select boot device: dialog box appears, select Cisco CIMC-Mapped vDVD2.00.
The firmware update initiates. The CIMC may reboot during the update process, after which the firmware update will continue. A CIMC reboot will cause a temporary loss of connection. Log in to the CIMC again and re launch the vKVM Console to monitor the update progress.
After the firmware update is complete, the ISO will not be automatically unmapped. Be sure to manually unmap the ISO before performing another reboot.
10. In the vKVM console, after you see the message Tsohle files copied and verified, the ISO has been loaded, and the firmware update begins. At this point, it is safe to eject or unmap the previously mapped firmware ISO.
11. From the vKVM console, select Virtual Media and click the name of the previously configured mapping to eject or unmap it.
12. Tobetsa Netefatsa to unmap the ISO file.
The firmware update continues, and the next reboot will start the SNA M6 appliance.
13. Holima CIMC Chassis Summary page, verify that the firmware has been updated to the expected version.
