Over time, mineral deposits (scale) can build up in your coffee maker, affecting performance and taste. Descaling is recommended every 3-6 months, or when you notice slower brewing or reduced coffee temperature.

  1. Fill the water tank with a mixture of white vinegar and water (e.g., 1 part vinegar to 2 parts water).
  2. Place a large mug or container on the drip tray.
  3. Press and hold the 'DESCALE' button (if available on your model, otherwise refer to the general operating instructions for a rinse cycle). The red light will indicate descaling mode.
  4. Allow the machine to complete the descaling cycle. This may involve multiple short cycles.
  5. After the descaling cycle, discard the vinegar solution.
  6. Fill the water tank with fresh, clean water and run 2-3 rinse cycles to flush out any remaining vinegar taste.
