Upon unpacking your Fieldpiece VP87 Vacuum Pump, please verify that all components are present:

1. Initial Oil Fill: Before first use, ensure the oil reservoir is filled to the MAX line using the provided Fieldpiece vacuum pump oil. Unscrew the large black cap on top of the unit and carefully pour the oil into the reservoir. The clear sight glass allows you to monitor the oil level.

   • To drain old oil: While the pump is running, open the valve on the left oil reservoir. The old oil will drain into the empty container.
   • To add new oil: Close the drain valve. Remove the black cap on top of the unit and pour new Fieldpiece vacuum pump oil into the reservoir until the level is between the MIN and MAX lines in the sight glass.
5. Exhaust Port: A garden hose can be connected to the exhaust port on the side of the unit to direct exhaust away from the work area.
