5.1 Matrix Unit (Rear Panel)
The rear panel of the matrix unit provides all primary input, output, and control connections.

6.1 Khokahano e Felletseview
The Monoprice 8x8 4K HDMI Matrix Extender allows you to connect up to eight HDMI source devices and distribute their signals to up to eight displays. Seven of these displays will connect via HDBaseT receivers, while one can connect directly to the local HDMI output.

- For HDBaseT outputs (1-7): Connect a Cat5e/6 Ethernet cable from each HDBaseT Output port on the matrix to the HDBaseT Input port on its corresponding receiver.

- For the local HDMI output (8): Connect an HDMI cable from the HDMI Output (8) port on the matrix directly to your display.
- If using audio breakouts, connect your audio system to the S/PDIF or RCA audio outputs on the matrix unit.
- If using IR extension, connect IR emitters and receivers as needed.
- For network control, connect an Ethernet cable from the LAN port on the matrix to your network router or switch.
- For RS-232 control, connect the RS-232 cable from the matrix to your control system or PC.

- Connect the provided power adapter to the DC 12V input on the matrix unit, then plug it into a power outlet.
- Power on the matrix unit. The HDBaseT receivers will power on automatically via PoC.
- Power on all connected displays and source devices.

The front panel features buttons for direct control of input and output routing, as well as EDID settings.

- INPUTS (1-8): Selects the desired HDMI input source.
- OUTPUTS (1-8): Selects the output port to which the chosen input will be routed.
- KAOFELA: Routes the currently selected input to all outputs.
- EDID: Accesses EDID settings.
- HLAKOLA: Clears current selection or setting.
- Kena: Confirms selection or setting.
7.3 RS-232 Control
The matrix can be controlled via RS-232 commands from a PC or control system. Refer to the detailed command set in the advanced user guide (if available) for specific protocols and commands.
7.4 Web Taolo ea GUI
For network-based control, access the matrix's Web Graphical User Interface (GUI) by entering its IP address into a web sebatli. The Web GUI provides a visual interface for managing inputs, outputs, EDID, and other settings. Consult the advanced user guide for default IP address and login credentials.
