- Gently insert the flexible tip into the rectum, approximately 1/2 to 1 inch (1.5 inches maximum immersion depth), until the parent-proof stopper prevents further insertion. Do not force the thermometer.
- Hold the thermometer in place until it beeps, indicating the reading is complete (approximately 10 seconds).
- Carefully remove the thermometer and read the temperature displayed on the screen.
- Press the power button to turn off the thermometer, or it will automatically shut off after a period of inactivity to conserve battery life.

- With the thermometer off, press and hold the power button for a few seconds until 'MEM' appears on the display, followed by the last reading.
