5.1. Packing the Bowl

Proper bowl packing is crucial for optimal performance.

1. Prepare Shisha: Gently fluff the shisha tobacco using a fork or tongs. Ensure it is evenly distributed and not overly compressed.
2. Fill Bowl: Place the fluffed shisha into the glass bowl. Leave a small gap (approximately 2-3mm) between the top of the shisha and the bottom of the heat management device to allow for proper airflow and prevent burning.

5.2. Preparing Coals

Use natural coconut coals for the best experience. Coals are not included with this set.

1. Heat Coals: Place 2-3 natural coconut coals on an electric coal burner. Heat them until they are fully red on all sides. This typically takes 5-10 minutes.
2. Place Coals: Using coal tongs, carefully transfer the fully lit coals to the heat management device placed on top of the packed bowl. Start with 2-3 coals and adjust as needed.

Allow 5-10 minutes for the bowl to heat up after placing the coals. Take slow, steady draws from the hose. Adjust coal placement or quantity to manage heat and smoke production.
