This manual provides essential information for the safe and effective use of your Canon EOS 650D Digital SLR Camera. Insert the provided Lithium-Ion battery pack (LP-E8) into the battery charger (LC-E8E). Plug the charger into a power outlet. The charging indicator light will show the charging status. A fully discharged battery typically takes approximately 2 hours to charge.

Open the battery compartment cover on the bottom of the camera. Insert the charged battery pack with the electrical contacts facing inward until it locks into place. Close the cover securely.

The EOS 650D uses SD, SDHC, or SDXC memory cards. Open the memory card slot cover on the side of the camera. Insert the memory card with the label facing the back of the camera until it clicks into place. Close the cover.

Remove the body cap from the camera and the rear lens cap from the lens. Align the red dot on the lens with the red dot on the camera's lens mount. Turn the lens clockwise until it clicks into place. Ensure the lens is securely attached before use.

Autofocus System

Exposure Control and ISO
The camera offers automatic exposure control with evaluative metering. The standard ISO range is 100-12,800, expandable to 25,600 for low-light conditions. Adjust ISO sensitivity to control image brightness and noise.

To record movies, set the mode dial to the movie shooting position. The camera supports Full HD (1080p) video recording at various frame rates, saving files in MP4 format. Manual controls for exposure and audio levels are available during movie shooting.
Using the Vari-angle Touchscreen LCD
