- Component Video OUT: (Y, Pb, Pr) Provides the highest quality analog video output for compatible TVs.
- Digital Audio OUT (Optical/Coaxial): For connecting to a home theater receiver for digital audio.
- Antenna IN/OUT: For connecting an antenna or cable TV signal. Note: This unit has an analog tuner only. A digital converter box is required for digital over-the-air broadcasts if you do not have cable or satellite.

4.3 Connecting to a Cable Box or Digital Converter Box
To record from an external source like a cable box or digital converter box, use the AV IN connections:
- Connect an S-Video cable from the S-Video OUT of your cable/converter box to the S-VIDEO IN on the Insignia unit.
- Connect RCA audio cables (red/white) from the Audio OUT of your cable/converter box to the AV IN AUDIO jacks on the Insignia unit.
- Alternatively, use composite video (yellow RCA) from the Video OUT of your cable/converter box to the AV IN VIDEO jack on the Insignia unit.
4.4 Khokelo ea Matla
Once all audio/video connections are made, plug the power cord into a standard AC wall outlet.

This unit supports recording to DVD-R/-RW and DVD+R/+RW formats.
- Insert a blank recordable DVD into the DVD tray.
- Select the input source you wish to record (e.g., VCR, AV IN).

- Insert the VHS tape you wish to dub into the VCR slot.
- Insert a blank recordable DVD into the DVD tray.
- Select VCR mode on the unit.
- Start playback on the VCR.
