3.1 Unboxing

3.3 Ho Bulela/Ho tima

  • Ho Matlafatsa: Press the volume knob on the front panel.
  • Ho tima: Press and hold the volume knob for 1.5 seconds.
  • Mokhoa oa ho Boloka Matla: The speakers will enter power-saving mode if no audio is played or no operation is performed for 15 minutes (Bluetooth device connected). If no Bluetooth device is connected and no operation for 15 minutes, the speakers will power off. This feature is enabled by default. To disable/re-enable, turn the volume to 0 and press the volume knob twice. The indicator will flash once for disabled, twice for enabled.

4. Lihokelo

4.1 Lihokelo tsa likhoele

The MR3 speakers offer a variety of wired input options:

  • TRS Balanced Input: Provides noise-free signal transmission, ideal for connecting to professional audio interfaces or mixing consoles.
  • Kenyelletso ea RCA: For connecting devices with RCA outputs, such as turntables or CD players.
  • Kenyo ea AUX: A versatile 3.5mm input for connecting various audio sources like computers, smartphones, or older audio equipment.

4.2 Khokelo ea Bluetooth

The MR3 supports Bluetooth 5.4 with multi-point connectivity, allowing two devices to be connected simultaneously.

    1. Ensure no device is currently connected via Bluetooth.
    2. Press the Bluetooth function button on the rear panel. The indicator will flash rapidly, indicating pairing mode. If it doesn't enter pairing mode, press and hold the Bluetooth button for 1.5 seconds.
    3. On your device, search for 'EDIFIER MR3' in the Bluetooth device list and select it to connect. The indicator will glow steadily once connected.
  • Multi-point Connection (Two Devices):
    1. Connect the first device as described above.
    2. Press and hold the Bluetooth function button for 1.5 seconds to enter pairing mode again. The indicator will flash rapidly.
    3. On your second device, search for 'EDIFIER MR3' and connect.
    4. To play audio from one device, pause playback on the other.
  • Bluetooth Hidden Mode: If no device is connected for 3 minutes, the speaker will enter Bluetooth hidden mode. In this mode, new devices cannot discover the speaker, but previously paired devices can reconnect by selecting 'EDIFIER MR3' from their Bluetooth list. To exit hidden mode, press the Bluetooth function button.

5.1 Sound Mode Switching

Press the volume knob to cycle through the sound modes:

  • Lesupa le Lefubedu: Monitor Mode (flat frequency response for critical listening)

  • White Indicator: Customize Mode (user-defined settings via the app)

5.2 Using the Edifier ConneX App

The 'Edifier ConneX' app provides advanced control and customization for your MR3 speakers.

5.3 Audio Tuning (Room Correction)

The 'Acoustic Tuning' interface in the app allows you to modify settings based on your room environment:

  • Low Cutoff: Reduces low frequencies (20-100 Hz) based on room size and shape. Attenuation levels can be set at 6, 12, 18, or 24 dB/octave.
  • Sebaka sa Acoustic: Adjusts the bass boost based on speaker placement (e.g., 0dB for center, -2dB for wall side, -4dB for corner).
  • Desktop Control: Compensates for sound reflections when speakers are placed on a desktop. This feature helps mitigate the effect of increased decibel levels at certain frequencies due to desktop placement.

You can also adjust high and low-frequency gains using the physical knobs on the rear panel:

  • 'High' Knob: Adjusts frequencies above 10kHz by +/- 6dB.
  • 'Low' Knob: Adjusts frequencies around 125Hz by +/- 6dB.

5.4 Sephetho sa Li-headphone

To use headphones, connect them to the 3.5mm headphone jack on the front panel. When headphones are connected, the speaker output will be muted. The headphone volume can be adjusted using the speaker's volume knob.
