The X2 1401 is designed for outdoor installation. Choose a location that is easily accessible, close to the main water supply and power outlet, and protected from direct impact.
- Use appropriate screws and anchors to securely mount the controller to a wall or sturdy surface.
- Ensure the controller is level to prevent moisture accumulation.

2. Wiring the Controller
Before wiring, ensure the power supply to the controller is disconnected.
- Connect the common wire (usually white) from your valves to the terminal marked 'C' (Common).
- Connect each zone valve wire to its corresponding station terminal (1-14).
- If using a master valve or pump start relay, connect its wire to the terminal marked 'MV' (Master Valve).
- Connect the power supply according to local electrical codes.

3. Installing the Wi-Fi Wand (Optional)
The Wi-Fi Wand module (not included) enables smart features and remote control.
- Locate the dedicated port for the Wi-Fi Wand on the side of the controller.
- Carefully insert the Wi-Fi Wand into the port until it clicks into place.
- Once installed, power on the controller. The display will indicate Wi-Fi status.

Manual Programming (Without Wi-Fi)
The X2 controller can be programmed directly using the rotary dial and buttons on the control panel.

- Beha Letsatsi/Nako: Turn the dial to 'Date/Time' and use the arrow buttons to set the current date and time.

- Nako ea ho Fetola: Turn the dial to 'Seasonal Adjust' to globally increase or decrease watering durations by a percentage.
- Sisteme e Koetsoe: Turn the dial to 'System Off' to suspend all automatic watering.
- Matha: Turn the dial to 'Run' for automatic operation based on your programmed schedule.
Wi-Fi and Hydrawise App Operation (with Wi-Fi Wand)
Once the Wi-Fi Wand is installed and the controller is connected to your home network, you can manage it remotely using the Hydrawise app or web segokahanyi.
- Download the Hydrawise App: Batla "Hydrawise" in your smartphone's app store or visit the Hydrawise websebaka.
- Theha ak'haonte: Follow the on-screen instructions to create a new Hydrawise account.
