2. Getting Started: Initial Setup
Upon first use or after a battery change, you may need to set the current time and date. Refer to the following steps:

3.1 Mokhoa oa ho Boloka Nako
The watch normally displays the current time, day of the week, and date. The small world map display indicates the current time zone.
3.2 Mokhoa oa Nako oa Lefatše
This watch can display the current time in 31 time zones (48 cities) around the world.
- Entering World Time Mode: Ho tswa ho Mokgwa wa ho Boloka Nako, tobetsa MOKHOA button until 'WORLD TIME' appears on the display.
- Viewing Other Time Zones: Sebelisa le PELE le RETS'ELISITSOE buttons to scroll through different city codes and view their current times.
- Swapping Home City and World Time City: In World Time Mode, press the FETOLA button to swap your Home City time with the currently displayed World Time City.

The watch features 5 daily alarms and an hourly pontšo ea nako.
- Entering Alarm Mode: Ho tswa ho Mokgwa wa ho Boloka Nako, tobetsa MOKHOA button until 'ALARM' appears.
- Selecting an Alarm: Sebelisa le PELE button to cycle through AL1 to AL5 and the SIG (Hourly Time Signal).
- Ho beha Alamo: With the desired alarm selected, press and hold the FETOLA button until the hour setting flashes. Use PELE le RETS'ELISITSOE to set the hour and minute. Press MOKHOA to switch between hour and minute settings.
- Activating/Deactivating Alarm: Tobetsa ea PELE button in Alarm Mode (without holding ADJUST) to toggle the selected alarm ON/OFF.
- Exiting Alarm Mode: Tobetsa ea FETOLA button to exit the setting mode, or MOKHOA to return to Timekeeping Mode.

Mokhoa oa 3.4 oa Stopwatch

- Khutlisa: Ha o emisa oache, tobetsa konopo ya RETS'ELISITSOE button to reset it to zero.
- Nako ea ho arohana: While the stopwatch is running, press the RETS'ELISITSOE button to record a split time. Press RETS'ELISITSOE again to return to elapsed time display.
Mokhoa oa Nako ea ho Bala Nako ea 3.5
The countdown timer can be set for a period of up to 24 hours.
- Entering Countdown Timer Mode: Ho tswa ho Mokgwa wa ho Boloka Nako, tobetsa MOKHOA button until 'TMR' (Timer) appears.
- Ho ipehela nako: Tobetsa o hatelle FETOLA button until the hour setting flashes. Use PELE le RETS'ELISITSOE to set the desired countdown time. Press MOKHOA to switch between hour and minute settings.
- Start/Stop/Reset: Tobetsa ea PELE button to start or stop the countdown. Press the RETS'ELISITSOE button while the timer is stopped to reset it to its starting time.
3.6 Lesedi

- Activating Illumination: Tobetsa ea KHANYA button (front-bottom) to illuminate the display.
- Nako ea Leseli: The illumination duration can be adjusted in the Timekeeping Setting Mode.

Your Casio AE-1400WH-3AVCF watch is water resistant to 100 meters (10 BAR). This means it is suitable for swimming, showering, and snorkeling. However, it is not recommended for scuba diving. Do not operate buttons while the watch is wet or submerged.
