4. Seta

The RMS Featherweight Reacher comes pre-assembled and ready for use. No complex setup is required.

4.1 Attaching the Yellow Clip

The yellow clip is designed to keep your reacher conveniently nearby. To attach it:

  1. Locate the yellow clip on the shaft of the reacher.
  2. Align the clip with a suitable bar on your cane, walker, wheelchair, or hospital bed rail.
  3. Gently press the clip onto the bar until it securely snaps into place.

5.1 Grasping Objects with the Claw

  1. Position the open claw around the object you wish to pick up.
  2. Squeeze the ergonomic trigger handle firmly to close the claw around the object. The textured rubber grips on the jaws will help secure the item.
  3. Lift the object carefully.
  4. Release the trigger to open the claw and drop the object.

5.2 Using the Magnetic Tip

The magnetic tip is useful for retrieving small, lightweight metallic items such as keys, pins, or coins.

  1. Bring the magnetic tip at the end of the claw close to the metallic object.
  2. The magnet will attract and hold the object.
  3. Carefully lift and transport the object.

5.3 Using the Metal Post for Hooking

The metal post can be used to hook or pull items, such as clothing from a hanger or a curtain.

  1. Position the metal post to hook the desired item.
  2. Gently pull or maneuver the item as needed.
