This manual provides detailed instructions for the installation, operation, and maintenance of your Emerson 1F89-0211 Non-Programmable Thermostat. This thermostat is designed for use with heat pump systems (2 Heat / 1 Cool) and is compatible with Oil/gas/electric and millivolt applications. Mount Location
Install the thermostat on an inside wall, approximately 5 feet (1.5 meters) above the floor. Choose a location with good air circulation, away from direct sunlight, drafts, or heat sources (e.g., lamps, appliances, fireplaces).

Sebelisa le Up (▲) le Tlase (▼) arrow buttons on the right side of the thermostat to adjust the desired temperature setting. The current temperature and set temperature will be displayed on the 2-inch LCD screen.

The thermostat is dual-powered (hardwired or battery powered). If using batteries, replace the two AA batteries when the low battery indicator appears on the display.
- Gently pull the thermostat body away from the wall plate.
