This manual provides detailed instructions for the installation, operation, and maintenance of the Elkay LK35 3-1/2" Drain Fitting. The Elkay LK35 is designed to fit 3-1/2" (89mm) drain openings and features a durable Type 304 stainless steel body, a removable strainer basket, and a chrome-plated brass tailpiece. Proper installation and care will ensure optimal performance and longevity of your drain fitting.

Before beginning installation, ensure you have the necessary tools, including plumber's putty or silicone sealant, a wrench, and a screwdriver. Turn off the water supply to the sink before proceeding.
- Prepare the Sink Opening: Clean the sink drain opening thoroughly, removing any old sealant or debris.
- Kenya Sealant: Apply a bead of plumber's putty or silicone sealant around the underside of the drain body flange.
- Insert Drain Body: From the top of the sink, insert the drain body into the sink opening. Press firmly to ensure a good seal.
- Assemble Underside Components: From the underside of the sink, slide the rubber gasket, friction washer, and mounting nut onto the drain body.
- Tighten Mounting Nut: Hand-tighten the mounting nut, then use a wrench to tighten it securely. Do not overtighten, as this can damage the sink or drain. Wipe away any excess sealant.
- Attach Tailpiece: Connect the chrome-plated brass tailpiece to the bottom of the drain body using the provided slip nut and washer. Ensure a tight, leak-free connection.
- Connect to P-Trap: Connect the tailpiece to your existing P-trap assembly.
- Teko ea ho Lutla: Turn on the water supply and fill the sink. Check for any leaks around the drain body, tailpiece, and P-trap connections. Tighten connections as needed.

The Elkay LK35 drain fitting is designed for simple operation.
- Straining: The removable strainer basket is designed to catch food particles and other debris, preventing clogs in your plumbing. Ensure the basket is properly seated in the drain opening.
- Plugging the Drain: To fill the sink with water, press the strainer basket down firmly into the drain opening. The rubber seal on the basket will create a watertight plug.
