This manual provides detailed instructions for the installation, operation, and maintenance of the Aiphone LE-D Surface Audio Door Station. 1. Mount Location

Select a suitable outdoor location near the entry point, ensuring it is within reach of the wiring for the master intercom. The unit is weather-resistant, but positioning it under an overhang can provide additional protection from direct heavy rain.

2. Surface Mounting

  1. Carefully remove the front cover of the LE-D unit to expose the mounting holes and wiring terminals.
  2. Position the backplate of the LE-D unit against the wall or single-gang box where it will be mounted. Mark the positions for the mounting screws.
  3. Drill pilot holes if necessary, then secure the backplate to the surface using the provided mounting hardware. Ensure the unit is level.

3. Wiring Connections

Refer to the wiring diagram below and the instructions provided with your Aiphone LEF or LEM Series master intercom for specific wiring details. The LE-D unit typically requires two wires for audio communication and power from the master intercom.

  • Connect the two wires from the master intercom to the designated terminals on the LE-D unit. Polarity may be important; consult your master intercom manual.
