Li-Knobs tsa Taolo:

  • LEVEL: Adjusts the output level of the delayed signal. Turn clockwise to increase the delay volume.
  • PHETA: Controls the number of delay repetitions (feedback). From a single echo to infinite repeats.
  • NAKO: Sets the delay time, from very short slap-back echoes to long, ambient delays.
  • MOKHOA: Selects one of the seven available delay types:
    1. 1-10-250 MS: Short delay times, ideal for slap-back and subtle echoes.
    2. 2-250-1 SEC: Medium delay times, suitable for rhythmic delays.
    3. 3-1-4 SEC: Long delay times, for atmospheric and ambient effects.
    4. 4-TAPE: Simulates the warm, decaying sound of vintage tape echo units.
    5. 5-MOD DELAY: Adds modulation (chorus/flange) to the delayed signal for swirling effects.
    6. 6-REVERSE: Plays the delayed signal backward, creating unique soundscapes.
    7. 7-LOOP: Enables a short looping function for creating sound-on-sound layers.

Jacks:

  • HO: 1/4-inch input jack for connecting your guitar or other instrument.
  • OUT 1 (MONO): 1/4-inch output jack for mono signal. Connect to your amplifier or next pedal in the chain.
  • KHAOLO EA 2: 1/4-inch output jack for stereo signal. Use with OUT 1 for stereo effects or with a second ampmoqhobi.
  • 9V DC Kenyo: For connecting an optional 9V DC power adapter (center negative).

Footswitch:

  • Engages or bypasses the effect. Also used for Tap Tempo functionality (refer to Operation section).

Tlhophiso

  1. Ho matlafatsa Pedal:
    • The DigiDelay pedal can be powered by a single 9V battery (included) or an optional 9V DC power adapter (center negative).
    • To install a battery, unscrew the four screws on the bottom plate and carefully remove it. Insert a 9V battery into the clip and replace the plate.
    • If using a power adapter, connect it to the 9V DC input jack.
  2. Connecting to Your Rig:

Tshebetso

Operating the DigiDelay pedal involves selecting the delay type and adjusting the parameters to shape your sound.

Ho Kopanela Phello:

Press the footswitch once to engage the delay effect. The LED indicator will illuminate. Press it again to bypass the effect; the LED will turn off.

Adjusting Delay Parameters:

  • LEVEL: Start with the LEVEL knob at a low setting and gradually increase it until the delayed signal blends well with your dry signal. Avoid setting it too high, which can lead to unwanted volume boosts or feedback.
  • PHETA: Experiment with the REPEATS knob to control the decay of the echoes. Lower settings produce fewer repeats, while higher settings create longer, more sustained echoes. At maximum, the pedal can self-oscillate, creating infinite feedback.
  • NAKO: Rotate the TIME knob to set the duration between repeats. This knob works in conjunction with the selected MODE to determine the overall delay range.
  • MOKHOA: Turn the MODE knob to select from the seven distinct delay algorithms. Each mode offers a unique character and range of delay times. Refer to the "Controls and Connections" section for a description of each mode.

Tlanya Tempo:

The Tap Tempo feature allows you to set the delay time by tapping the footswitch. To use Tap Tempo:

  1. Ensure the pedal is engaged (LED on).
  2. Tap the footswitch two or more times in rhythm with the desired tempo. The pedal will calculate the delay time based on your taps.
  3. The Tap Tempo feature is active in most delay modes, providing precise synchronization for live performance.

Tlhokomelo

  • Phetoho ea Betri: When the LED indicator dims or the pedal's performance degrades, it's time to replace the 9V battery. Always use a fresh alkaline battery for optimal performance.
  • Ho hloekisa: Clean the pedal's exterior with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents, as they may damage the finish or internal components.
  • Polokelo: When not in use for extended periods, remove the battery to prevent leakage. Store the pedal in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
  • Lihokelo: Periodically check all cable connections for tightness and ensure cables are not frayed or damaged.
